Mangrove and nitrate reduction

Does anyone have any idea on how many mangrove plants to plant? How many mangrove plants to how many gals of water?

Mnagroves are fairly slow growing, and would probably not be the best choice for nitrate reduction. They are however fun and make a great looking addition.
