Mangrove Question

I've been going for 6 months with zero recorded nitrates. I add a tang and now I'm at 10ppm.

I'm interested in adding Mangroves in an effort to try and control this.

I have a couple of questions:

What are peoples experience with Mangroves?

Do they work on reducing nitrate levels?

How many will I need? I have a 65gal tank.

Any Macro algae will help. I have a ton of grape caulerpa if you want some for free.

Alot of other people on here have alot of cheatomorpha they can spare also.

Mangroves are also cool looking though.

Mangroves look cool, but I don't know if they are that effective in nitrate removal as they grow so damn slow. Just ask the couple of dozen mangroves in my tanks :lol: Chaeto grows like crazy and is probably a much better candidate.

yeah and you need dozens of mangroves to work as well as Macro...
