How soon should these things be sprouting leaves? If my haven't, should I worry? They've been in my fuge about a week.

Mine already have leaves on them, so I can't really answer your question. I am starting to get a second set of leaves on about half of mine right now though. Do you have your fuge on a light cycle or just 24hrs a day? What kind of light are you using? How deep are you keeping it in the water? Is it in a substrate?

The fuge lights are on 24/7. but I'm thinking of changing that. They are in sand/rubble/cheato, about six to ten inches of water, depending on the rubble. The light is the suspect, actually. It's a home depot compact flourescent in a work light. Nothing special. I am sure I should change that first. Cheato grows alright under it, though.

I would suggest a light cycle for a mangrove start, maybe not a good candidate for a 24/7 fuge........... lemme know if it works...
