As Mansfield is well situated in the center of the state travel time is about a one hour drive from several larger cities such as COLUMBUS, CLEVELAND, AKRON/MASSILON, WOOSTER, MARION, DELEWARE and many other smaller towns.


WHEN: SATURDAY MAY 12th
START TIME: 2:30PM
END TIME: WHEN IT ENDS? (guessing around 5:30 - 6 ish)

I don't sell corals therefore any area LFS or coral farmer are welcome to come setup for the day. Access will be available at
12 noon for setup.

If your hungry we are just around the corner from a pizza shop that sells really good "personal or 7 inch" sized pizzas for around $3.00! Good pizza without the "corporate" ingreediance. Other places/kinds of food are also nearby.
 
Is this at your house, a local hall, a local store? Is it sponsored or hosted by anyone or just a personal thing?
 
Sounds good to me. My son and I are both joansing for a frag swap. We had to miss the one that was a couple weeks ago.

I'll keep an eye on this thread to see how things develope.
 
I went by the address (371 marion ave), I couldn't find it LOL I know I missed it. I thought it might be an apt building?

Hmmm, I'll have to go by their this weekend and check it out. I know theirs a LFS on marion ave. From what I've heard about him, he's getting into more saltwater livestock and such. I've been told hes expensive, but I haven't seen the store yet

Hi Guys,

The building is the old Computer Creations building. The front is currently vacant. There will soon be a computer store back in that location (I own it). The back is actually already set up for computer repair - its the front of the store we are toying over how to set up....and the front is where the frag swap will take place. There should be plenty of room.

The building is just down the street (around the corner) from the fish store with the clownfish painted on the side. I dont know why he has a clownfish painted on the side - he does nothing with saltwater last time I checked.

There will be power and some tables to set tanks up on.

The only thing is the floor was recently waxed so I may be a bit mythodical about letting water stand idle for long periods of time. So there will be plenty of towles and a mop The wax guy says it shouldent be a problem as long as I dont let it sit for hours.

It should be fun time and hopefully the weather will make for a nice ride for those who are 60 or so minutes away.

FYI: Doing the speed limit - I can get from my door to:

Downtown Columbus in 57 minutes
Downtown Cleveland in 66 minutes
Downtown Akron in 62 minutes
Downtown Massilon/Canton in 70 minutes
 
I have never been to a frag swap before... Do I need to have something to swap or can I just come to buy? Sorry if that is a dumb question...

You can sell, buy, trade, or even just look if you want to.

If you plan on going home with anything though, it's generally a good idea to bring a cooler or something with you to put your purchases in.

boy, this is going to be rough coming up with frags after just getting some again in March. I'm attempting to "turbo-frag" a green leather in time, and I have some green Pocillapora that is growing retardedly fast, but that isn't a whole lot of what people want.

Do people have any interest in swapping for or buying smaller like $5 frags? this might enable me to snitch a branch here and there from a few other things.(nice things) (nice but small things)

I don't mind small frags either. If they are going to grow, they will grow. If they are going to die, smaller loss. Sometimes it just takes a while longer for them to get rolling, sizewise.

I'll definatly be interisted in $5.00 frags :) I'm just getting into saltwater. I have a ton of Cichlids and tanks if anyone is interisted.

Whoops, I almost forgot (sorry about the 2x post)

What is everyone bringing? A buddy of mine and me are looing looking for bubble coral , Galaxia coral , Torch coral , and any rare ricordias or mushrooms.

I'll be bringing some purple monti digi, gold monti digi, and what ever softies I cut up that morning. Most likely some yellow polyps, green hairy shrooms, and toadstool leathers. I also have 2 rocks that are each about 10" long covered in zoo's, GSP and a few shooms. that I want to get rid of. I dont have room for them. I haven't had time to prepare for this swap or everything would have been mounted already. We have another kid on the way and she's due at the end of the month. I've been working on the nursery.
