Manta rays at night

I've got a friend that just got back from Kona Hawaii and brought some videos over of his trip. He went snorkeling at night with manta rays. In the video there are divers on the bottom with lights shining up to attract food and the rays. Tell me this isn't visually ridiculous. Filmed with a GoPro Hero3 White.
