Mantis Evicted

Mantis finally has its own home, after 2.5 weeks. Had to resort to pulling a piece of rock it liked to hide out in. Fortunately it was a smaller piece right on top, took about 3 minutes total. It is set up nicely now in a ten gallon with a 2lb. piece of liverock I picked up at the lfs last weekend.

Now I have several gorilla crabs to evict...

Congrats! =)

Mantis shrimp are very cool... I'd love to have one, but I didnt get any with my shipment =( ..

(I only have the 5 gallon package /grin)

I didnt get one in my first 1/2 either, hopefully I'll remain as lucky on the 2nd half.

Hehe, I REALLY should add "yet" to that myself..

I'm hearing some clicking, but not much, and never rapid (2 seconds apart is the fastest yet) .. That could be the powerhead, heater, shell, pistol, or any number of other things.

I've done a lot of 90% water changes,
I sit next to the tank
The tank is a 10 gallon
Nothing has died that looked like a victim of anything other than ammonia

... so I don't think it's likely that I have a mantis, but it's still possible
