When's the next frag auction?

The next frag auction will be at the April meeting. For the March meeting Dr. Tzadik from USF CMS will be talking about Goliath grouper!

Our presenter at the March meeting is Dr. Tzadik from the USF Fish Ecology Laboratory! He'll be presenting about Goliath grouper! Guest speakers volunteer their time to present at club meetings - so do come and show your support!

The Atlantic Goliath Grouper, Epinephelus itajara, is critically endangered throughout its range. However, the population in southern Florida has begun to show signs of recovery. In his presentation Dr. Tzadik will share historical trends that led to the decline of Goliath Groupers, the present status of the population, and the ongoing research being done in the state of Florida and internationally. As future management strategies develop, what innovative approaches will we need to assess the population of Goliath Groupers?

This may seem like a dumb question but when you say bring something to eat/share what are we talking about, snack/desert type item or something more ?

Whatever you like. The club provides drinks (water and soda), members bring a variety food items like: chips and dip, veggie platters, cookies, Publix wings (always a hit), casseroles, pigs in a blanket, etc.

Thanks again to Dr. Tzadik for his presentation! I've never seen anyone with their arm shoulder deep down the throat of a grouper before!
