The Independent Frag Exchange

I would like to invite all reefers in the area to a Independent Coral Frag Swap in East Orlando. You are welcome to bring as many coral frags as you would like.
The requirements are that they are pest free and in good to excellent condition, please don’t bring your flatworms, redbugs or any other problems to give to other people. Frags should be well healed and may or may not be encrusted to a base at your discretion.
Cost:
• Cost is $5 per person at the door to participate, this will include food and non-alcoholic beverages. Feel free to BYOB.
Frag Exchange Requirements:
1. Pest and disease free frags.
2. Images of all Frags emailed sent to Joshua at least one week in advance.
3. Frags must be in bags well labeled with name and size or number of polyps. (i.e. Green SPS will not suffice)
4. All frags must be checked in by 5:30pm.
5. 100% of the money spent in the frag exchange goes to the seller of the frag.
When:
• Doors open on March 1st 2008 @ 4pm
Where:
• 924 Sykes Court
• Orlando FL, 32828
Contact:
• (203)520-2816 Joshua
• pedanpedan@gmail.com
Optional Sand exchange:
Over time the pods and other creatures iving in your sand beds will actually loose biodiversity since in a closed system there is no constant addition of new species like in the their natural habitats.
At this Frag Swap, we will also be holding a live sand exchange. Peoples interested in participating should bring one full cup of live sand from their well established tank or refugium. These sand samples from each tank will then be mixed in a large bucket, and each person who participated can leave with a cup of sand that will add tremendously to the biodiversity of the small animals in your system.
The point of this of course is to get as many pods, mini brittle stars, and other small not parasitic critters as possible into the cup of sand.
Once again if you are aware of having any pests, or your tank or refugium is not yet established please to not participate in this event. If you badly need some sand to add some life, we will be more than happy to assist you anyway.
