Marco suggestions.

I recently set up a 5 gallon fuge type set up and would like to know what type/s of algea I should put in there to lower nitrates in the main tank. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!

chaetmorpha, caulerpa, and halimeda are all commonly used. I like caulerpa because of it's growth rate but don't like worrying about the sexual stage. I like halimeda because it doesn't overgrow everything but it also sucks up calcium and alkalinity as part of its growth process. I like chaetmorpha because it doesn't go sexual...but it collects a dirt...at least IME.

go w/ the chaeto bro.its your safest bet. its in your fuge, don't worry bout the dirt. the pods will eat it up and populate
