Marine Lab Test Kits

Are Marine Lab test kits any good? I am buying an aquarium from a guy who uses them (tank looks quite healthy), and he is including them. They are a "5 in 1" kit. Individual tests for eah of the main water parameters included in the kit. Thanks for any input.

Never used this personal brand but I would think that all tests are going to give you results I think that some are harder to use and hard to determine the results I think that you should be fine using these and eventually you might want to get a different test kit if they are not working for you

You should be ok, I also have never used that brand of test kit. Test your water a few times and average the results (minimizing user error), and then take a sample of water to your LFS to see how it tests with them, and compare.

Test kits do potentially go bad over time, so getting it double checked will ensure that it is accurate enough for your purposes, and has not degraded.
