Marineland LED light system question

Thinking of buying for my 150 gallon - 6 foot long tank. Presently I'm using 2 - 48"Coralife T5's (2 white and 2 actinic on each fixture), one toward the back on the left and the other toward the front on the right and they overlap in the middle. That would be a total of 40,000K white

My tank has 3 top dividers so I was thinking about getting 3 of the 18-24" Reef capable LED's. That would be 30,000K total. Foster & Smith have a sale $152.99 each.

Is 3 enough or should I get a 4th to go in the middle - (1 on left, 1 on right and 2 in middle).

Anyone using these and do you recommend?

Thanks Justin, I didn't scroll down enough - lol. I just got off the phone with Marineland and the guy said there needs to be glass under those lights so they don't get water in them, and he also explained to me that the brightness is lumens - I thought the 10,000K is brightness. I know I don't know much about this hobby, and it turns out I know even less - ha ha.

I just have screens on the tank now, so I guess no LED's for me. I'm disappointed though.

Oh I know this much about the hobby: I don't know much!!! ;)

There are a few folks here that are getting into the LEDS..I bet they will chime in here. Unfortunately, IMO, with the size of the tank you have, unless you are into DIY'ing, it will be big $ to light your tank sufficiently with LED's. Sry ;(

EDit: I'm referring to the LED market currently...I think in the nxt year or so, they'll be better, more affordable options...hoping so anyways lol.

check out nanotuners.com. they have all sorts of led lighting, mostly for, well, nano reefs. products will just be higher in quantity for your tank. if you dont find anything, at least you can get an idea of whats out there.
