Maroon anemonefish..what about them?

I am thinking about getting a pair of maroon anemone fish some day. I was wondering ..what is your experience with them? Well I am setting up another tank that will dedicated to my ocellaris. When the tank is old enough I'll put the ocellaris in there and put the maroons in the 120. I am not sure if the maroons will harrass my 6 peaceful chromis. If they will, then I'll throw that idea out..thats why I am asking you guys. Yeah, I've read about them in books but, the books I have don't tell me about their personal experiences with the fish. I have always wanted a pair of maroons but I want to learn about them way before I buy them. Thanks

my 2cents worth, i'm very newbie here, but my exp is that either u buy them in a peaceful pair together, or buy them as juveniles and acclimate them to each other slowly until the shy one do the 'vibration dance' for the aggressive one.

or, just put one in.. they did well with my cleaner shrimp, koran..

I have a pair of GSMs in a 540. I currently have 4 different species in different tanks. FME, maroons are more aggressive, but mine don't travel far from their host BTA. My Clarkii are in a 150 and they do occasionally (when they don't have eggs) travel the entire tank. My maroons have not really picked on any fish in my tank unless they get too close to their egg nest.

My female ocellaris will bite me some times while I'm trying to do things in the tank. Like feeding the BTA, well she doesn't bite me then, she just bumps me. Have any of your maroons ever bit you?? Our female ocellaris actually tore some skin off my husbands hand and made him bleed. If maroons will bite their owners then I can't imagine what damage they could do. Ever since then she has been just bumping us. I won't put it past her though, she is an evil one. If we have our hands in the tank long enough, she will bite us. My ocellaris doesn't care much for the anemone, they swim around the tank like they own the whole thing. It would be nice to have a fish that stays close to the anemone at all times.

My GSM pair mostly stays in and around the BTAs, but they're pretty aggressive about defending them, mostly from me, or any new corals which may get placed within a foot! Seriously that is the most annoying trait, she will knock corals off the rocks if they're close. Also, they'll stir up sand if their BTA is near the bottom. However, they haven't been as aggressive to other fish as I've been led to believe. I actually have a Sebae clown in a carpet anemone that used to be on the other side of the tank from them. At first the maroons would chase the Sebae back into the carpet if he got more than a few inches away from it, but now they pretty much just ignore each other, even though the carpet has moved to within maybe six inches of the BTAs.
