Maroon clowns

i would say at least 40+ gallons but even then as they grow aggression may be a problem once those fish get older, these are the most aggressive clowns and very territorial

I have not kept any myself, but from those I know who have, the biggest tank you can supply. I'd say 75g absolute min and that would be with no other fish or crustaceans in it. They, especially the females, get big, like 6" including tail. Hold up a $1 bill - that's the size they get. They are highly aggressive and territorial. Every single person has said anything they put in the tank, like their hand for instance..., is attacked. Considering my much smaller A. melanopus mama sometimes attacked and could almost draw blood, I'd think three of four times before putting bare hands in with a maroon pair. And my clowns were in a 120g tank.

Not that any of this should discourage you if that's what you want, just know what you're getting into. Good luck.

Not necessarily a lot of work, just a lot of feisty fish for most home aquarists. I cite the $1 bill because it is 6" long by about as tall as a maroon. Not as thick of course. :)

I have 2 small maroon clowns in my 35 cube there the only fish in the tank besides my lawnmower blenny, my clowns seem happy but I'm not gunna keep them in there for life they will eventually be moved to the 120

A mated pair will want to control about 50 gallons of tank space and they do not suffer intruders well. So, by themselves, 50 gallons (watch your hands however) but with other fish, it is difficult to say.
