maroon clowns

I have a maroon clown by itself in a 20 gallon long but was thinking of getting him a mate? is this even possible, I know they are mostly solitary but I would like for a pair? and if that is possible, is it possible to get a gold maroon clown to pair with my regular maroon?

A 20 gallon tank will not be big enough to hold 1 Maroon Clown - let alone 2. You do know they upwards of at least 6 inches each right? Maroons are real terrors of all clownfish species.

At least 55 gallons or larger for a pair of Maroon clownfish. There have been issues females will kill off her mate while trying to form a pair.

how big is the clown? is it white stripped or yellow... the white striped clowns don't seem to be as aggressive ... if you try to pair them what has worked for me is you need to find a clown that is the same and make sure the clown is half the size or smaller.. then cross your fingers.. you will know pretty quick if the clown is accepted...
