Marrying Two Adult Clarkiis + RBTA

How would it work to bring a 2 yr old Carlkii clown + large RBTA together with a second adult Clarkii clown, same age and size, by putting them into a 300g + tank? They would be added to the tank at the same time, with the anemone. (No SPS in this tank, mostly fish plus some LPS and softies.)

Would the two Clarkiis fight over the anemone? These fish were once housed together but have not been in the same tank for the past 15 months. (They were separated while in the midst of the pairing-up process because one became ill, and they were never put in the same tank again.)

Given the age of both of them, I am going to assume that they are both female, and that isn't going to end well.

The size of your tank might make it possible, but I know that I wouldn't want to try to remove one of them from a tank that size. Personally, after keeping Clarkiis for 9+ years, I wouldn't do it.

yeah, I see what you mean about having to remove one of them. I won't try it then.

Thanks very much for the advice; I appreciate avoiding the possible grief/aggravation. :)

Sure thing, I am glad to help.

9 years ago I had 3 Clarkiis ( before I knew better ) once the pair was formed, the 3rd one didn't have a chance, and I couldn't get it out in time.

Yea, it wasn't fun at all.

And they are still just as mean, couldn't even keep a 3-stripe damsel in the same tank with them.

My single Clarkii without anemone is pugnacious but not mean. Well, only mean in the sense that he won't allow the smaller of my two young true percs to go near its intended mate.

My other single Clarkii with anemone is pretty mean. Bites my hand/arm really hard whenever I'm stupid enough to put it in the tank near her anemone.

They're both really good looking fish, though. I've found a home for the RBTA/clown pair, so now I'll just try to find a home for the single Clarkii.

For some reason mine don't bite me, but they will chase my hand as I am removing it from the tank -- I think it makes them feel like they chased me out. ;)

I don't think you will have any issue getting rid of the one, think that they are great looking fish.

This is my pair in their Haddoni,

Very nice!

I think mine really enjoys the biting process. She wants to see how many bites are required to flood my disposable reef-sleeve. And whether she can get me to yell or not.

Way thank you.

Ahh reef sleeves, I have heard about those. ;)
My B&W O, will draw blood 90% of the time. And I am not afraid to admit that I have yelled like a girl once or twice when getting bit.
