I have some large (10"-12") yet sub-adult Vlamingi Tangs. The larger of the two i have had the longest and its as thick as my forearm, and six months ago began to develop small streamers maybe 3/4"-1". At around that same time, another similarly sized Vlamingi was available to me for a decent price and i took a big chance at pairing them up!
The newer one was slightly smaller and not nearly as thick as my long-time fish. But it also had more of a developed short-nose (unicorn) hump and a bit more blue markings across the body. Ive done a lot of reading, and know that unless they are true adults nearing 2 feet in length, its almost impossible to Sex these fish. Ive also read that its very difficult to keep more than one, however they are in my shark lagoon that has a footprint of about 100 square feet (10' by 10').
They are always together and never further than a foot and a half away from each other. Its rather cute. I will provide some pictures shortly.
Im just hoping theres someone with some experience on here.
Thanks.
