Maxi jet powerhead

Hi everyone,

I am about to buy a Aquafuge hangon and I need some advice on which Maxi jet I would need to replace the crappy Rio that comes with this fuge. This is the medium sized fuge and it will be for my 55 gal. Should I get the Maxi jet 600 or 900? How much flow do I need for my chaeto ? Thanks!

What size rio comes with it? If its a 600 then I would go with either the maxi jet 900 or 1200.

I don't think you would need to upgrade the pump, the purpose in a fuge is slow current so that critters and stuff can proliferate in it....at least that is my opinion

I had a rio 400 on the med size and it seemed to do just fine!
