maxi-mod longevity

I just got around to putting one of the maxi1200 mods in my tank. It's one of the ones from our club meeting "maxi-mod workshop". WOW this thing puts out some flow. Its like having an outboard motor in my tank. I was curious if anyone else is still running one and how they have been on longevity? Is this mod something I can depend on for awhile?

I am using the 900 mods we did at the meet and they have worked well for ~ 8 months now. From what I remember people were having trouble with the 1200's.

I have one of the 1200s still running. It kept messing up until I glued the shaft into the acrylic cross piece. If it isn't glued the vibration eventually makes the hole bigger and causes problems.

Does anyone have a maxi mod kit they want to get rid of??
