maximus clam placement???

I am getting a Maximus clam today. My question is where do I put him? I have (2) 250 watt SE MH's and (2) 110 watt VHO's. 90 gallon reef. How high should I put him? I never had one.

In that sort of lighting, you should not be limited on where you should place a maxima clam. My only recommendation is to situate the clam onto rock or coral of some sort, since this is T. maxima's preferred substrate.

I agree, with your lighting they will be fine anywhere in your tank. They don't like intense water flow. It will attach to the rock where you place it, so keep that in mind. I like to put mine on small piecs of LR or or shells, that makes them much easier to move.
