So not too long ago Steve Tyree had a coral farmer's market in Silicon Valley, while there I was chatting up one particular booth which was a new local store and there was a Neptune rep there. They had quite a few Maxspect items there including their newest "flagship" products, the Gyre200 series and the Ethereal LED light, and one thing he said struck me as odd so I didn't really think about it too much until now (as I contemplate a Gyre).
He basically said that the Ethereal's controller was a much more advanced version of the same controller that the Gyre uses and you could use it to control Gyres. Now I didn't push any further and the way he was talking to me I have the feeling he just assumes everyone has an Apex, but how true is this? Can you run your Gyres off an Ethereal's controller? I haven't seen either products up close but I wouldn't think there would be connectors for the pumps on the light's controllers.
