Maze brain

I have a maze brain that was stung on both outer edges. I have had it for 9 months and I didnt trim off the stung areas. I have it in moderate flow, but low in the tank on a piece of PVC pipe about 3 inches tall. My question is should I move it up?? It is holding color not growing super fast but slowly over the old skeleton.

I have 3 250w 20k XM all within age range of 3 to 4 months.

I understand the regrowth will be slow due to me not trimming off the exposed (dead) skeleton. Was just wondering if Increased light from moving up would help??

TIA:rollface:

You don't want to move it up too high too fast, acclimation to the higher light should be fine though.

also if you're monitoring your alk and Ca levels to make sure your corals have enough of the chemicals they need to build their skeletons to grow, you might look into monitoring your Magnesium levels if you don't already. A certain level of this makes it easier to pull out the parts the corals make their skeleton with and can help encourage growth

I just need to take it out and trim the Dead skeleton. Maybe then the Growth will be somewhat back to normal. All my par are right :), for once in my life I found something I can control to a point hehehe
