Feeling kind of low at this point. We are new to the hobby and purchased our second batch of fish for our DT. It included a McCosker Wrasse. We are using a 10G QT. acclimation seemed to go OK, with putting all three into a bucket that contained the water that came from the LFS after temperature acclimating while they were in the bag. We immediately started a drip acclimation which ran about 45 minutes. Salinity matched and temperature was aligned. We noticed the wrasse being still in the bucket, but I had read this is normal. Got hm into the QT and he again seemed to be still, but did see some movement. Eventually he found his way into a PVC elbow I've had in the tank. Today both the wrasse and the anthias were hiding in the same elbow. I sterlized a smaller elbow and put it in the tank to give home to both. Then this afternoon we got home and the wrasse was still over in the corner with one side of his forward fin sticking out and stiff. No movement. We pulled him from the tank and saw no evidence of breathing or movement, so we pronounced m dead. There were no signs of any illness.
My question here, is if this type of wrasse is fragile and the shock of going through all of that was too much, or if there was something we did wrong or missed.
Thanks
