meg/L vs. dkh

Randy,

What's the difference between meg/L vs. dkh when measuring alkilinity? The test kit I use measures meg/L and I am currently at about 3.75. How does that compare with dkh?

1 meq/L = 2.8 dKH = 50 ppm CaCO3 equyivalents.

Okay, I get it....now my current alk is about 3.75 +/- .25

Is this desireable? This makes my dKH about 10.5, what am I shooting for? Current conditions

pH 8.0
Calcium 476ppm
temp 78.2F
SG 1.026

Yes, that is just dandy. I usually recommend 2.5-4 meq/L for alkalinity.
