Melafix Antibacterial Fish Remedy for saltwater fish?

Hello, I have a damsel, when i bought him, I guess I wasn't looking but his fin was damaged and also several wounds on his body. I had been keeping freshwater fish only and new to Saltwater fish, I was wondering if I can use Melafix Antibacterial Fish Remedy like this on him.

Sorry not sure if there is a disease expert on this forum or not. I am not an expert at all but I have been thru several problems with my fish.

Some claim those herbal treatments work but I feel differently.

More questions I would have are?

How long has the tank been running?
Are there any other fish in the tank?
Do you test your parameters? ammonia, nitrite,
