Hello,
I have one in a 55g. bought it for FW control and worked great. am upgrading to a 180g and was planning on putting him in there. I was going to do a BB and was just browsing online and came across that they need sand????

how true is this? will it not like a BB?

They sleep in sand. I have a small one in a tank that is BB. I have a small tupperwear filled with sand that he sleeps in.

I also have a royal gramma and a mandarin. do you know about them having to sleep in sand also???
