Melanurus + lepoard wrasses - will they get a long?

I have an opportunity to get a 3"-4" melanurus wrasse but I want to make sure it will work in my 50 gal cube, and get a long with my current inhabitants particularly with my 2" leopard wrasse (female-black & white belly). Other fish are tailspot blenny and a pair of clowns. Any insight is appreciated!

Should be fine. Most Melanurus are peaceful fish and a great addition to a tank. The only concern I would have is whether it would effect the food supply available for the Leopards. Melanurus (in my experience) eat anything but they are constantly on the hunt and will eat pods and other small crustaceans as well. Leopards are notoriously difficult to feed and quickly decimate the pod population and then often starve to death. If yours are established and eat frozen or pellet readily though you should be fine.

I would agree with the above. I have a similarly sized Tumor Wrasse ( same genus as Melanarus) and a smaller female leopard and no problems whatsoever. Mine are in my 300g though and they both eat pellets. If you Leopard eats pellets, frozen food....I would expect no problems.

Third in agreement. I have a melanarus and a leopard and they basically ignore each other.
