Melanurus Wrasse Black Spot/Growth

Hey all. My Melanurus wrasse has been in QT for 2 weeks now, being treated for fin rot. Been using Melafix and have seen much improvement in the fins and scales healing.

However, this morning I went to check on it and it has a dark black spot/growth under one of it's pectoral fins. Whatever it is, it seems to be bugging the fish's swimming ability.

I've tried searching the internet but can't seem to dial this down. Any ideas?

I'm also seeing what looks like black ick above the fin from the pics it appears to be a bump but the last pic from the front it's barley noticeable. Fin rot is usually fungal and fugal in salt water is rare I would drop the melafix and treat with prazipro. My reason is I think the black spots are trematodes and possible that's causing the fin and spot problem.

Thank you for your response! I also noticed the black dots on it's side, but that's the area that has been healing so I assumed that it was just part of the healing cycle. I have prazipro on hand.

Question though. Can I start prazipro instantly?...or do I need to do a massive water change and run carbon to get all the melxafix out? Prazipro states not to use with other medications...so may be a rhetorical question.

Black ich would be all over, not only in one area. I would agree it is part of healing. Prazi still wouldn’t be a bad idea though.

Ok great, thank you both for the responses. I will run carbon and do a large water change to try to get as much of the Melafix out, and start Prazipro tomorrow.
