I have a group of about 60 blue/purple discosoma mushrooms. They propagate them selves regularly and occasionally I slice them up for trading. In the past 3 days I would say the group or mushrooms are down to half. They appear to be melting into brown stringy mucus and weathering away. I have been sucking the gunk out with air line tubing easily because the stuff sticks to the rock. So far it seems that just the blue mushrooms r dieing: but some of the other discosomos in the tank are starting to look a little smaller. They are not melting. Anyone have any idea what causes this and how to fix the damage. I wanted to get ride of some of them; but not this way.
