Membership drive at Reef Life - October 14th & 15th

The weekend of October 14th and 15th, 2006 Reef Life will be having their grand opening. As part of this event FMAS will be holding a membership drive at the store. During this event FMAS members will receive 15% at the store. Door prizes will be given out through out the weekend. Reef Life is located on the SW corner of Griffin and Pine Island in Cooper City.

Let me introduce myself. I moved to S Florida this past February from Central Arkansas. Before I moved I kept a 135g mixed reef and was the VP of the state club. After renting for a few months I just purchased a house in Hollywood & I have a 220AGA on order that should arrive in the next two weeks. I’m looking forward to joining the club and getting involved.

tiger, thats a cool club mascott, i wish fmas had a cool macott symbol type deal like that. I am new and don't know if we do, it is possible i guess.

No, we will not be taking names for the fish hop at reef life. Your card may or may not be there if you signed up in September...most likely not. The turn around time is not that fast.

FMAS does have a "cool" logo...

Yes, it is old school, but the club is over 50 years old.

if i am a member and didn't get my card yet will i still be able to get my discount. that would be a bummer.

Just an idea but I think it would be cool if they opened maybe an hour early so current members can come in and browse and check out the store. maybe its a dumb idea, i think it is cool to see the large scale filtration and just like to get a sneak peek of the livestock before it opens to the public.

btw, my first meeting was september, what was the deal with all the gunshots? some kinda police training i'm sure.

Yes, the police train the same nights we have our meetings. Gunshots are a normal thing during our meetings.

hey, my names kyle, and i want to become a member. i went to the fragswap but only made it to the very end, and i have trouble making it to the mettings. im a college student and work.

is there anyway to become a member before the grand opening at reeflife?

i recently changed my class schedule so i have much more time available

There is not a way to become a member before Reef Life's grand opening, but you can sign up with us there.

Marcus, sorry for the delayed answered to you, we welcome you to Florida and look forward to help you in anyway to get your tank set-up, we have a very nice group of people in our club that I am sure you will like in no time.
I am also happy to hear you have previous experience with other clubs, I am sure we could use your input to improve our club.
