im not sure i got the skimmer off of Pat and it was already had the mesh mod so i know how to do it not sure how much i need.

i just bought some of my own figured i should have it and i got it in one day. thanks any way TJ.I bought a ton of the PF5 Enkamat and have 100 of the small zip ties so if anyone needs any let me now.

So i am going to catch much hassled but yes my little 30 gallon has a jebo 180 that i cought a few years ago when i was clueless about a salt tank and was only 20 bucks on ebay. I put it on the tank figured out how to make it stop overflowing and leaking thru the cup seal and its working better than nothing and making a decent amount of skim. I am guessing i should do this mesh mod but was wondering what does it actually improve? Does it move more water or just pull more air and turbulate it more for more contact? i figured on taking it apart doing the mesh and also trimming down the inner tube to get more cotact after the swirl.

I am planning on getting something way better once my 100 gallon is up and running but for now i am trying to cultivate rock and coral so the 100 doesn't look totally bare when i set it up in the next month or so and the 30 will become my sump.
