Does anyone use those metal clamps for clamping down vinyl tubing on a submersible pump? I use them on my pump but the problem is I had to juryrig peices to adjust their tubing size and their pump is an in water pump. So 2 of those popular clamps everyone uses will be underwater.

I need advice before I do this today. Anyone have experience with that?

No metal in the tank water. It could each out something very bad in addition to rusting. They make plastic clamps for this purpose.

No metal UNLESS its Titanium or Stainless Steel i have seen heaters made from both!

Rasin,
Zip ties have a metal tang in them that "locks" the Zip in the tie. I do not think that they are SS.

Actually not very many brands of zip ties have the metal. But it is a good idea to check prior to use. It's easy enough to cut one in half with a pair of scissors to take a look.
