Metal Halide vs. Ricordea

Is Metal Halide lighting excessive for Florida Ricordeas. I just got my 12 gallon 70 watt HQI 14k system. I am currently using P/C. Is this lighting fixture too much for the coral.

Also, could those who utilize P/C, VHO, & MH with Ricordeas post pictures. I would like to see the difference.

70 watts is pretty weak so no i dont think its overkill at all.

This was from my 20 gallon high tank, they were under a 150 watt giessemann megachrome blue 20k.

I got some new orange rics and put them in two different tanks, the ones in my Aquapop w/ 70 watt 14K halide were streching up no matter where I put them so I ended up putting them with the others that weren't streching under 150 watt 10K. So they love the light IME.
