Methylene Blue

I use methylene blue when quarantining my fishes and I am wondering if it is alright to leave the methylene in the water throughout the QT period. A lot of meds make it difficult for the fish to function properly and I'm worried that extended use might harm the fish. It appears to stay in solution rather than fading out so are new additions only necessary when I change the water or should I only leave it in the tank for a few days?

you should probably be fine unless the directions say otherwise but what is it your trying to cure

not curing anything, just using methylene as a preventative in QT

Ok, but after a while,you may want to filter it out with carbon and add new stuff if you plan to keep it like that for long
