Mexican Turbo Snails

Thanks for all the responses guys. I just need to be sure that they are mexican turbos. Very important that they are the correct species. Few studies have shown that only mexican turbos will eat cotton candy algae. Looks like ill be making a drive west regardless!

Pets warehouse in copiague had a tank full labeled Mexican turbos they were on the large size.

I was at Pets Warehouse a couple days ago. Yes, they do have Mexican Turbos, and many of them are on the larger side. As of when I was there, the smallest was about as big as a half dollar. There were a number of very large snails, too. But, most decidedly, they were what you are looking for. They had a lot of snails in tanks above the live rock.

You guys are awesome. Thanks. I haven't had Mexican turbos for probably about 6 years now. Aren't they tough to acclimate? I was thinking float the bag to adjust temp, make sure the SG is the same, and add them to the tank ASAP. What do you guys think?

Perfect, Thanks Andy. Do LFS normally keep snails in low salinity water like the fish for parasite reasons? Or do they normally keep them in line with the same water as the coral?

Snails get sluggish @ 1.018. Will start dying below that point, but I have kept them in fowlr tanks as low as 1.020.
