MH or t-5 for prop tank

Just adding lights to my 2nd prop and would like some input. Do you guys think I should go with 2x250 mh or t-5's on a 4 foot by 2 foot tank. If t5's how many.

For pure growth, it's MH hands down for me. But lighting is but one of many factors which will yield you the growth you desire.

I have gotten nice color with mh and will prop keep using them.

I would run four overdriven t5's. I'm running two overdriven on a 55 and i have acros growing. zoas are growing really well also.

I have two 4x2x8" prop tank and am running Mh righ tnot but I just ordered two sets of Tec T5 and will be running one prop tank with 150watt of MH and the other with 4x54watt PC. I should be able to see how it works out in two weeks.

Everyone be happy i would say MH & T5 (or VHO)... i friend has this setup and i love it .. my zoa frags look better on his tank than mine and im using MH & PC...

But if you are using Mh how close could they be to the surface without burning? Say he is using 200w 1000k
