MIA - Have you seen this fish?

Good ol Friday the 13th.

Upon awakening the yellow watchman goby is still sleeping atop the sponge on the venturi; 2 hours later, vanished!!

Is it possible he hated living here so much that he made the proverbial "carpet dive" out this tiny hole?

Since it is beyond the crucial "48 hours", I have no hope of locating the missing person, I mean Goby. The only suspects in the absence of a body are the two pugs, Butch & Fred. They both plead ignorance.

We have searched the surrounding 15 square feet, what is the furthest anyone has found an AWOL fish from their tank?

There is still hope, I had one that I didn't see for 3 or 4 months and then one day it was back swimming around the tank like nothing was wrong. I don't remember the exact time line, but I have a tread about it somewhere on this board. They are so small that they are really hard to find if they don't want to be found.

years ago, I had a 10 gallon FW tank in the bedroom, and got this crab. the next day, the crab was nowhere in the tank. my wife started screaming from the living room, a good 25 feet away, because she saw the weirdest looking bug ever. Poor guy had his big meaty claws raised up as if to fight something, and died in that position.

It's not just about the initial jump, it's possible that they guy flipped and flapped a bit and could have propelled himself anywhere before he was turned into jerky. Also possible that he is still in the tank, as YWG's are usually shy and tend to stay in the rockwork, in their spot. My YWG runs and hides when I approach the tank (is it me?), and pretty much only comes out of his rock when food is around.

I've had a ywg for 3 days and seen him twice for about 1 minute total. No idea where he goes.

ya, mine will go away sometimes for like a week, look in other possible spots in the tank, my goby has changed his "home" like 3 times.

Lucky my goby lives in a cave right at the front middle of the tank. Mine jumped in the AGA overflow the second day I had him. Might want to check there if you have one.

Pretty much what everyone has said. I don't see mine for weeks.

Probably made a hole somewhere in the back of the tank at the base of a rock where you cant see it. Its new to the tank so its probably exploring the best spots to dig.
