Im heading to Michigan this weekend does anyone know of some cool fish stores off 69 north or 96 east heading towards Brighton. I really want to find a store stocked with corals. Im also going to post something on Michigan reefers too.

you have to go to tropicorium!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it might be a little out of your way it is by the detroit metro airport. they have 50,000 gallons of coral tanks. yes you read that right 50,000 gallons. i live in northern michigan and it is 3 hours away and i go any time i have 500 bucks or so i have saved up to spend . well worth the drive for me. it is such a cool place. they also bread sharks, stingrays. and they have some of the sickest chalice and acans i have ever seen. go on there web site and check them out. tropicorium.com you wont be disipointed

That's kind of out of the way from me unless I re route back through toledo then to fort wayne. Looks awsome though and Imight check it out. How are the prices there? and are there any other recommendations ?

this is a cut and paste of what I responded to you on michiganreefers.

I know a few of you guys have been to pruess so let him know about this store.

Trop is a good store I have been there. But dont think I would go out of my way to go there.

I've been to Pruess atleast 4 times this summer and thats about 1 1/2 hour drive from me. Well worth the drive.

Oh and I guess you know about fwmas lol

Not sure how far off the highway you want to go. Take exit 148 off of I69 (Angola) turn right off the exit. Go about 2 miles or so till you come to a circle in the center of town. Go 3/4 around the circle so you will be heading north. Follow that for about 1/2 mile and Sea Dwellers And Friends will be on your left just before staples. I would say maybe a block after you cross the railroad tracks. Then after your done go left out of the parking lot and it will take you back to I 69 after a few miles. They are a small store so they dont really have alot of dry good. I see you are from Fort Wayne, are you familiar with FWMAS (Fort Wayne Marine Aquarist Society)? Its a reefing club based in Fort Wayne. We meet one Saturday a month from Sept.-May. If you are interested in more info pm me and I will get you some. Also if your already a member you will get a 10% discount at Sea dwellers. You also get 10% off at Coral Reef in Fort Wayne.

Then One of Michigans best pet stores is Pruess. This one is about 10 miles or so out of your way. Instead of getting off I69 onto I96 Stay on I69 for another few miles and get off on I496 then follow that to exit 7 ceader st/larch st/pennsylvania ave. Its kinda like an exit with in an exit make sure you go all the way over to the ceder st/larch st exit. Turn right off from the exit ramp. Im not sure how far down it is but I get in the far left lane and I think its E. Maple st it only goes to your left there will be a small yard sign saying this way to pruess. If you miss that small sign turn left at E.Grand river Ave. Then due to road work you'll have to go 2 blocks and turn left then go 1 block and turn left. Pruess will be the big parking lot on your left.

Trust me when I say Pruess is a MUST this is a huge store and you will not be disappointed that you went. Pruess saltwater/coral section is bigger than Pet warehouse (on coldwater rd)fresh and saltwater/coral section. Pruess has lots of SPS at some good prices. $60 for 5 SPS frags and some other good deals. If you get that close and dont go you kick your self in the behind.

here is the address in case you want to put them into a gps.
