micro bubble problem

Awhile back I read a thread in here by someone who used a large plastic storage container as their sump and he mentioned a method of solving his microbubble problem. I don't remember what it was or how he did it, cn anyone point me in the right direction? I am in the same boat. My tank looks cloudy due to all the lil bubbles.

Thanks

Oh yeah also my lifereef overflowbox sounds like a running gurgling toilet, I know people have come up with solutions to quiet it down, any help there too would be appreciated.

Do you have the hang on over flow box? If so all you need to do is drill a bunch of holes in some PVC pipe that fits into the drain hole. Seal the top of the pipe and put it in the drain holes. You will have yourselfg a home made durso pipe.

Make sure you dotn have any bubbles in your sump. Your return could be pumping them into the tank.

Well I think most of the bubbles are in the sump due to the water and air coming down the drain tuve of the hang-on overflow box, but I will try the drilled pipe in the box to see if that silences the noise. I did notice Lifereef has a silencer, but didn't really want to pay them $24 if I could come up with something myself.

Thanks
