ZoeReef New member Apr 20, 2006 #3 Are there bubbles in the sump before the pump? If not, then one of two things probably is happening. Either the pump is cavitating, or there is a loose fitting in the pump that is allowing air bubble to enter into the return line. I'm not sure which version of the aquapod you have. I have the HQI version which allows easy mods to the sump, this thread http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=824950 shows how I have set up my sump and there is not a bubble to be seen.
