I want to extend an invitation to everyone for MICROCOSM 2013, which is a different sort of event that brings together a variety of naturalistic 'glass box' hobbies and specialists together under one roof...from poison dart frogs to orchids, aquatic plants and shrimp to coldwater marine systems: http://www.treewalkers.org/microcosm/
The two-day event includes field trips and behind-the-scenes tour, as well as a keynote lecture/mixer on Friday. Saturday features the vendor/exhibitor show and a number of talks throughout the day on various taxa and captive husbandry topics, culminating in a live auction featuring donated animals, plants and supplies.
