I seen a nice Midas blenny at the LFS and was wondering what the odds would be, that it would pic at my Crocea.

Thanks

I just rescued a crocea from a friend's tank that had a bicolor blenny that was persistantly picking at the mantle... I cant vouch for the midas though.

I hate to here all this bad new on Blenny, but I guess it better than having to get him out of the tank later. :)

Midas Blennies are completely safe. Perhaps the others aren't but I've never seen an issue ever and I even have one with several clams.

I have a 7" long midas with my 5 clams. And my friend has a 9" long midas with his 6 clams. But i guess we are just lucky. Maybe i should move all the midas blennies that are in the reef tanks at work there are 4 tanks up there with clams and midas blennies in each. Hmmm.

FWIW, I've had a 5" midas for about 4 months now and no problems yet. I have three clams in the tank.
