Midas Blenny color change

I had a question about my midas blenny. I recently upgraded my 30 gallon to a 57g. It did very well in my 30 gallon and was a vibrant yellow/gold color. After a stressful move to a new tank, its color has changed to an ugly purple/grey color with only the back 1/3 of its body still yellow. It acts normal, eats great, and actively swims in the water column all day. Is there any chance it will regain its bright yellow color?

I would think so. My yellow watchman changes color from bright yellow to yellow/gray. I've had him for a couple of years and he's just fine.

I'd verify that all of your water parameters are within acceptable range and just keep an eye on him.

My seahorses change color often as well depending on their mood.

when i bought my midas blenny originally it was stressed in the bag and was a purple and brownish color.. by the next day or two it was back to its vibrant yellow golden color.. dont worry the color will come back once it feels comfortable
