I am about to put one in my SPS tank. I think they are reef safe, they do not pick at rocks and such like the bicolors do.

Yeah they are completely reef safe. They are great fish with lots of personality. Be careful as some are jumpers....I lost mine after he went carpet surfing.

yup, i have one and he is awesome!!!he will go and find a hole he link and stay in it when he sense danger. Very cool to look at :D

if u plan on adding a clam, which many sps'ers do, i've read that they may nip at them. doin' the research now as i wanted to get a midas too.

I have had mine for about 3 or 4 months now. I have not seen it nip on my corals or clams. I love the personality of this fish.

Very different fish than bicolors, Midas are planktivores that swim out in the water column a lot.

Mine is a bully to other similar fish - skip dartfish and the like once you get a Midas.

Had mine for 1 year + in my SPS tank, no problems [nor with clam].

My midas would pick on my anthias (lyretail) non-stop, that is why I had to move him to my sps tank.
