this is going to be my official build thread... i will be getting all the wood tomorrow for the the stand.i would like to have the tank setup and water in it by the end of march... that is the goal. here are some equipment plans that i am planning.

210 gallon aga with dual overflows (already have)
75 gallon sump (already have)
10 gallon fuge (already have)

octopus dual 250 recirc skimmer (already have)
(3) 250 watt or (3) 400 watt halides... (either way i have them both)
supplemental lighting (undecided)
(2) vortech mp40 power heads (need to get)
return pump (undecided)

currently the tank was set up as an inwall tank. baby needs a room so the tank has to come out. at one time the tank ws completely full of live rock. i think that i am going to go a differant direction with this setup and have more of an open look. i will have a good spreading coral that i will try and get attached to the back of the glass so it can spread. i want to have more of an open aquascape and have some interesting fish. i would also liek to have an anenome island in this tank... i big rock with differant types of anenomes... i will be posting updates to this thread. tomorrow will be the beginning with the tand build! hope all enjoys!

so here is a picture of the stand. 2x4s in each corner and the main supports are 2x6s. it is not done yet. i will be putting a sheet of hardwood plywood for the very top. i will be comming off each end about 1 1/2 feet on eash side so i can have more room under the stand for the equipment. the skimmer will be in one of the extensions and shelves in the other end. i will post more pics when my drill charges up and i can get some more done...

do you think this will be enough to keep the 210 from splashing on the floor?

thanks for any inputs!
mikey!

how about an update? here are some pics. still have to build the canopy and build some doors. i figure i can do both those things while i let the tank cycle. tell me what you think!

and here is the manifold that i built. there are 4 outlets. 1 for each return, 1 so i can hook a hose up and run it out side to do quick water changes, and i will have one extra in case i need it for anything.

my return pump is a panworld. it is equal to the iwaki 55. let me tell you that when i had this thing hooked up doing th fresh water leak test, this dthing was very quiet. we will see now that the front is cut out just how loud it really is. i will let every know wheather i recommend it or not...thanks for looking. any comments or suggestions will be appreciated

well i have started to fill the tank now with ro/di water. i have added some salt. i think the plan that i am going to take is to add 2 freshwater mollies and over the course of the cycle i am going to raise the salinity up. i always wanted to have some saltwater mollies that hopefully reproduce often to give the other inhabitants a source of fresh food.
