milles and humilis...

I find it hard to keep the colors of any mille or humilis, they usually turn into a darker tone even with intense lighting then they'll turn green evetually...is that true or its just me?

There are alot of factors to consider with their coloration, not just lighting. I dont' have any problems with millies, but always had problems with thicker branch acros like humis over the years, probably because of flow or nutriants. I finally got a couple of colonies doing well and coloring up nicely.

Interesting...yeah i agress with you on the various factors and variables involved. my flow is pretty high at least I know because I have other thick-stemmed stags (purple with blue tips) right next to them and they do just fine. I don't think flow is a problem with me, probably placed too close to the lights. phosphates are also close to zero, which rules that out as the culprit for darkening...I think I do have another humilis frag away from the light and it colored up light purple, I will check tonite...
