Nothing is wrong with them except that they eat only a diet of starfish, however I'm not sure if they eat asterinas or not (the small ones that you're talking about). Some people buy a starfish and break off the legs every few days to feed the shrimp to keep it alive, but short of that, there aren't many other ways to keep them alive.

I've heard that some eat Asterina and some don't. They are not brittle stars though. Here's a place that sells brittle stars Sea Life Inc. I think the OP probably just wants them for clean up.

yeah thats the only problem, catching them, they just barely come out most of the time, they just hang out of the holes, or hide between the glass and rock, or some hard to reach part that i can see easily.....hmmf
