is it better to buy the combo kit for a 250 watt mini lumenbright or buy the reflector, ballast, bulb seperately? I see some stores have the combo's for sale and others not.

Thanks for the reply, my tank is 135 gal. 22" tall and 18" deep it has a center brace too.

I'm reading a thread on RC and wondering if I could buy 175 instead of 250 watt. My tank is BB and sps frags. What would you recommend?

Hi,
Looks like the tank is 72" long. How many lamps are you planing on?
Is the tank glass or acrylic?
175W lamps will give you an advantage of emitting less heat, with 250W, chiller might be necessary to keep that temp in check.

I plan on two now and the third later on when i save up some money. My tank is glass and i have a chiller, just don't want to need it anymore. But I do want to be able to keep my clam on the bottom and some sps.

If you plan on keeping clamps and SPS I would go with 250s.
You might want to hold on to that chiller just in case temp will get too high during summer months.
