Maxi-mini and mini-maxi are interchangeable. Mini-mini is also classified as S. tapetum, but that is likely a taxonomic mistake that will eventually be changed. They are almost definitely two different species. Mini-minis stay small (quarter size) and asexually reproduce frequently. Maxi-minis grow to about 5 or 6 inches across and asexual reproduction is much less frequent.
