Minium lighting

What is the minimum lighting needed for a standard 55 gal 20" high tank to keep Rics? An example of a good lighting set-up for the min would be very helpful.

Is that all you want to keep? PCs should be fine (that's what I have 4x96 in a 75 - and the rics are doing great), but if you are thinking of LPS and SPS down the road, get the T5's of MH now.

Well after spending a bit of time on this part of the forums I have decided on a ric dominated tank with one or two rocks of zoas and maybe one or two other softies to brack things up. With this in mind would I want to go with one or two of the fixtures on that site?

Yea, t5 are plenty for softies, i would get more than 1 strip though. At least 2 for survival and 6 for the best output.
