hey guys yesturday was another good day any night for my QT fish, however lastnight my wife and i heard a weird noise and if ya so happen to be in the hobby as long as some of us ya get to noticing sounds.....it was the sound of my powerhead in there cloged up....so i went running and before i could really get a good look my mind had already had me disconnect it......my blenny almost died....he was sucked into my cheapo powerhead....which in hindsight im glad it was a cheapo walmart one because any stronger it would have choped his head off......i made the rookie mistake of leaving the powerhead ungaurded.....quickly i had to think of something because i only have one tank.....i probably should have used a clean bucket to put the blenny in and keep him there for a while, but again hindsight is 20/20....i took the 2 clowns out after acclimating the QT with water from my DT and matching everything up as close as possible and i put them in...leaving the blenny in the QT.....the clowns took a little bit to get used to the DT, but started to swim about lastnight. i woke up this morning and turned the lights in the tank on......lol the clowns need to get used to that lol she was darting a tad and junk.....shes more relaxed now and they are both swimming together and such, however the same can not be said about the poor blenny.....so bad i had to stick my net in there to make sure he is alive, which he is, thats all though because he cant or wont even swim, he stays at the bottom....as far as i can see he has all his fins and no damage, but not 100% sure on that

1: is there anything i can do for the blenny other then giving him time and good food?

2: my little clowns front of his face seems rather yellow then orange, is this a problem maybe or rather it could just be my lights that bring out the yellowish he already had?

3: on a side note when i turned the lights on and looked at two of my rocks that are practically toughing, they have what looks just like cob-webs/spider-webs about 2x2 inches or so long and wide, any of ya ever seen something like that?

As for the yellow on the clown, I have a had one that had a sunflower yellow face and a UT orange body, so it should not be anything to worry about. The blenny just needs time to heal. He is probably exhausted from fighting the power head. Feed him good foods with nutrients to keep him healthy. Adding selcon/garlic supplements should help perk him up to eating if he is not already. Granted blennies are algae eaters, so I am not sure what else they will eat. Mine could care less about anything else. Take it easy on him and try not to stress him out any more than you have to. They spook easy anyway.

I agree!!!

Mario, that cob web looking thing is a filter feeder coming out from a tube. It can be troublesome later on if you want to keep zoanthids cause they can irritate them to the point they wont open up and die. You can keep it or take the rock out and scrape off that tube looking thing... I have them in my tanks too, but too many for me to mess with...lol. they can populate more too!
